Other places may close up when the cold weather arrives, but not us. We welcome guests each season because there is something to enjoy at all times of the year. For example, people come from around the globe to see the nearby Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Park. Contact us for more information about our seasonal offerings.
Spring
This is a light time of the year for us. Many of our guests come for a stay while visiting friends and relatives in the area or to visit nearby Northern Michigan University.
Summer
When the weather warms up, you will want to be outside. You can fish right off the dock, swim in the lake, munch on s'mores by the campfire, or go boating, hiking, biking or bring your own ORV to ride the many miles of trails when you visit us at this time of the year.
Fall
Enjoy the Autumn colors as the forest changes while hiking or visiting some of the 17 named waterfalls in the area. Bring your own ORV or rent one to enjoy the colors on the many miles of trails off the beaten path in the Hiawatha National Forest.
Winter
With approximately 200 inches of snow each year it is truly a winter wonderland here. There are plenty of trails in the area to visit via snowmobile in the winter. Many guests enjoy nearby Valley Spur Recreation Area where they miles of cross country ski and snowshoe trails. Equipment is available to rent at Valley Spur and the warming lodge is a very welcoming place to come in from the cold. In February, the very adventurous try their hand at ice climbing.
